The Ichi Growkit is a reusable growing kit that allows you to grow microgreens at home.

You will receive a stylish pot, a special soil mix, seeds for three growing rounds and a simple instruction manual.

With just some water, you can grow your own super fresh microgreens indoors within a week.

Very simple:

  1. Add the soil mix, make the soil moist and also fill the water reservoir.

  2. Scatter the seeds and cover with the lid.

  3. Wait 2-4 days for germination until the lid is pushed away by the seedlings.

  4. Then wait 4 to 10 days (depending on the type) to harvest your own microgreens.

Je hoeft niets over te planten of bij te mesten.

We supply three standard types of seeds: radish, broccoli, and red cabbage.

In the future, there will also be supplementary packages with new types!

Microgreens are young edible plants that are harvested as soon as they develop their first leaves.

They often contain many more nutrients, flavour, and colour than fully grown vegetables.

Because they are concentrated with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Sometimes up to 40 times more than mature vegetables.

At the start, you fill the reservoir and sprinkle the top until everything is nicely damp.

After that, you only need to top up the reservoir when necessary, and check your microgreens every day.

Prevent the soil mix from drying out or the microgreens from wilting.

In a bright and warm place, such as a windowsill.

This depends on the amount of water and the temperature.

Under normal conditions (continuously moist soil, room temperature 20–22 °C) you can expect the following:

No. Microgreens seeds are exactly the same seeds as regular vegetable and herb seeds.

The difference lies not in the type of seed, but in how you cultivate them and when you harvest.

  • If you let them grow, they will simply become mature vegetables or herbs.

  • With microgreens, you harvest the plant very early, usually after 7–14 days.

  • This makes them small, tasty, and they often contain higher concentrations of vitamins and minerals per gram.

Check if the substrate is moist enough and the temperature is around 18–22°C.

Some species need a little more time, so a bit of patience can work wonders.

It is probably not mould but root hairs.

Root hairs are small white hairs that grow along the underside of the microgreens. They help with better water absorption during the first few days. Mould is often a bit greyer and has a slightly musty smell.

The first image is mould, the second root hairs.

If you are experiencing mould, you can remove the mouldy seeds with tweezers or small pliers to prevent further issues. Are there already microgreens sprouting? No problem, the microgreens that grow from the mouldy seeds are not affected by this. Cut your microgreens above the mould when they are ready and rinse them briefly under the tap. For the next cultivation, ensure that your container is thoroughly clean and free of grease, using a small amount of washing-up liquid.

Cut the microgreens above the edge of the Ichi Growkit with a knife or scissors.

For longer shelf life, store the microgreens after harvesting in a sealed container in the fridge.

Yes! The tray is reusable.

After each harvest, you remove the old root remnants, clean it up a bit, and refill the container with fresh substrate and new seeds.
